Classification: Full-time, (32 hours/week), Salary (fundraising required)
Location: East Vancouver
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for executing front-line programming in our studio for youth aged 15-25 living with mental illness, navigating poverty, living homelessness or otherwise on the margins, creating a safe and accessible space for youth to develop skills, belonging and experience transformation.
Working closely with the leadership team to develop workshops, open studio times, and the program direction, and leading a volunteer team to execute front-line programming.
Creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
Liaison between workshop facilitators, volunteers, outreach worker, youth support worker, and youth community.
Maintaining statistic reports necessary for program functioning and evaluation.
You are highly organized with exceptional communication skills.
You have a passion for creativity, and understand its importance.
You enjoy managing people and space.
You have a desire for ongoing-learning, researching arts practice to aid workshop facilitators and the growing program development.
You are adaptable and flexible and have the ability to handle stressful situations.
You have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, able to communicate with a diverse group of people, with a wide variety of experience and socioeconomic backgrounds.
You have lived experience, or deep knowledge of poverty and oppression and an understanding of the needs of vulnerable youth including youth living with mental health, substance use, and/or social challenges.
You participate in the Christian faith.
Five years of combined post-secondary education/workforce experience.
