The Arts Outreach Worker will provide multidisciplinary visual arts workshops to youth aged 15-25 living with mental illness, navigating poverty, living homelessness or otherwise on the margins. The focus of the Arts Outreach Worker is two-fold: to support other local youth services providers, and to increase youth engagement in Creative Life programs.


  • Collaboration and coordination of services with community agencies and consultation with mental health professionals.

  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with community partners

  • Maintaining program reports to record statistics necessary for effective program functioning and evaluation.

  • Representing and developing the ‘brand’ and mission of Creative Life and our core values in any context.

about you

  • You have a passion for art-making and have basic skills to run an accessible visual arts workshop in a community space.

  • You are a gatherer; a person who can get people excited and committed to attend workshops as well as, create open, sacred spaces in the community.

  • You are a creative, entrepreneurial leader.

  • You are outgoing, self-motivated, and have high people skills; able to work within a team atmosphere yet can crush it solo. 

  • You have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, able to communicate with a diverse group of people, with a wide variety of experience and socioeconomic backgrounds.

  • You have lived experience, or deep knowledge of poverty and oppression and an understanding of the diverse needs of vulnerable youth including youth living with mental health, substance use, and/or social challenges.

  • You participate in the Christian faith.


We highly value lived experience, and/or Post-secondary education from a University or  Community College in the area of Fine Arts, Expressive Arts, Addictions, or Education.
